The Belize Education Sector Reform Programme (BESRP), Phase II includes the establishment of 35 new schools strategically located across Belize to improve equitable access to education. This phase is an essential element in the response of GOB to the three broad policy objectives set out in the Belize Education Sector Plan (BESPlan) for enhancing the educational development of the country. The BESRP, Phase II of the development programme, is currently ongoing and is a response to the policy objectives of strengthened governance and enhanced quality and relevance. This Phase of the Programme primarily addresses the policy objective of increased equitable access.

This component will focus on the provision of physical infrastructure, furniture, and equipment across basic education. To this end, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology (MoECST) seeks to contract the services of a Clerk of Works to support the Programme Engineer to maintain general oversight of the contractors engaged for the construction of pre-primary, primary, and
secondary schools across the country.
